Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D. presented his cooperative health care proposal here Thursday and told an audience of 100 that he would not vote for a government-run health care program.
We better not take our guard down because Obama and the democrats could try to sneak away into the bill so it can be changed to a government ran health care without permission from congress. So keep up the hard fight to the end and request that any bill be read before its voted on!
The cooperative would offer a non-profit insurance option to compete with private health care. Sounds almost like a government ran health care to me…what you say?
House Democrats have declined to subpoena available records that might reveal whether other members of Congress got discounted VIP mortgages from subprime lender Countrywide Financial Corp. similar to the sweetheart deals given Democratic Sens. Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad.
Republicans say they are willing to risk that the records now held by Bank of America may show that GOP lawmakers were also “friends of Angelo” who got preferential terms on personal mortgages at the behest of then-Countrywide CEO Angelo Mozilo.
Countrywide, after losing billions of dollars on defaulted subprime loans that triggered last year’s financial crisis and the consequent recession, was taken over by Bank of America a year ago. Read More
Must not be any Republicans on that discounted VIP mortgage list or the Democrats would release it asap! So people it tells us that there are names of democrats that they don’t want us to see on the list. What you think?
