Invasion of Privacy by FBI and The Obama administration

Lets see how loud the liberal media and the Democrats will be in condemning this Obama backed invasion of American citizen’s privacy. Recall the Liberal Democrats condemning the George Bush counterintelligence bill to monitor phone calls from overseas right after the 9/11 attack?  This new FBI invasion of privacy will be used to monitor American citizens.  Watch out Americans as this is just the beginning step in the big government of Obama’s controlling our lives and the internet.  Also will news groups such as Fox News have to open their emails by employees to the FBI?

Invasion of privacy in the Internet age. Expanding the reach of law enforcement to snoop on e-mail traffic or on Web surfing. Those are among the criticisms being aimed at the FBI as it tries to update a key surveillance law.

With its proposed amendment, is the Obama administration merely clarifying a statute or expanding it? Only time and a suddenly on guard Congress will tell.

Federal law requires communications providers to produce records in counterintelligence investigations to the FBI, which doesn’t need a judge’s approval and court order to get them.

They can be obtained merely with the signature of a special agent in charge of any FBI field office and there is no need even for a suspicion of wrongdoing, merely that the records would be relevant in a counterintelligence or counterterrorism investigation. The person whose records the government wants doesn’t even need to be a suspect. Read more at SOURCE

Bush Authorized Domestic Spying

President Bush signed a secret order in 2002 authorizing the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in the United States, despite previous legal prohibitions against such domestic spying, sources with knowledge of the program said last night.

But the program’s ramifications also prompted concerns from some quarters, including Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (W.Va.), the ranking Democrat on the intelligence committee, and the presiding judge of the surveillance court, which oversees lawful domestic spying, according to the Times.

Kate Martin, director of the Center for National Security Studies, said the secret order may amount to the president authorizing criminal activity. “This is as shocking a revelation as we have ever seen from the Bush administration,” said Martin, who has been sharply critical of the administration’s surveillance and detention policies.

Caroline Fredrickson, director of the Washington legislative office of the American Civil Liberties Union, said she is “dismayed” by the report.

“It’s clear that the administration has been very willing to sacrifice civil liberties in its effort to exercise its authority on terrorism, to the extent that it authorizes criminal activity,” Fredrickson said. SOURCE

Alvin Greene and Obama’s identity

As I was thinking about Alvin Greene and Obama’s identity it came to me to ask which is the most dangerous to America, americans owning a gun or top government elected officials such as Alvin Greene and Barack Obama. The answer would have to be government elected officials because they have so much power that they can do more harm to America than any gun could. So how can we stop this from happening. As you know for an american citizen to buy a gun we first have a FBI check done on us. So why is it when a person register to run for a government office they don’t have a FBI check done and if it comes back that they had committed a crime in their past that they are not allowed to run. Obama and Alvin Greene must not of had a FBI check ran on them!

Mistaken Identity

To this date, South Carolina Democrats are still confounded by their candidate for Senate, Alvin Greene. The unemployed veteran, currently using a public defender to deal with an obscenities charge, not only mustered the filing fee of $10,400 but also won handily with 58 percent of the vote READ MORE FROM SOURCE

UPDATED 23 Sept: Federal Agents Searches Home of Colorado Man in Terror Probe

Federal agents on Wednesday searched the home of a suburban Denver man identified by law enforcement as having a possible link to al-Qaida.

The task force also feared Zazi was involved in a potential plot involving homemade hydrogen peroxide-based explosives like those cited in an intelligence warning issued Monday, said the officials, who spoke on anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about the investigation.

Zazi has denied he’s a central figure in a terrorism investigation that fed fears of a possible bomb plot and led to several police raids in New York City on Monday. Read More

Up to 24 More People Under Scrutiny as NYC Tightens Security in Terror Probe

Police in New York City stepped up their patrols and increased their random searches on subways and buses Wednesday following reports that as many as 24 more people are under observation in a suspected cross-country terror plot.

The feds circulated the internal alerts in the midst of the investigation into a suspected New York City-Colorado terror plot in which three people — an airport shuttle driver, his father and an imam — are in custody for allegedly lying to the government.

The three are due in court Thursday to face the charges.

The possible Al Qaeda-linked scheme may have included plans to detonate bombs stuffed into backpacks, much like the subway attacks carried out in Madrid and London, authorities say.
