US congressional committee yesterday could have far-ranging implications for US policy in Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Now faced with another “genocide” resolution in Washington, Turkey appears to have returned to the same strategy it has used in previous years, one that is informed by more than simply political concerns.

“Turkey will certainly feel impelled to take retaliatory action against the US, which will take the form of noncooperation in terms of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan and possibly leading to restrictions on the use of strategic assets like the Incirlik air base – areas where there is important cooperation,” says Sinan Ülgen, chairman of the Center for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM), an Istanbul think tank. With Obama saying that he could bring the Middle East Countries closer together with America we get this type non-sense coming from the White House and the Democrat control congress! Obama is over his head in Foreign Policy! He has no experience!

Obama 365 + 1 days later ( Only 24% Strongly Approve His Job Performance)

Obama finished the year 2008 not so good. His bragging that he was ready on day one turns out 365 days later he’s still not ready!

A bomber slipped into a U.S. base in eastern Afghanistan on Wednesday and detonated a suicide vest, killing eight CIA officers in one of the deadliest days in the agency’s history, current and former U.S. officials said.  SOURCE

American military fatalities in Afghanistan doubled in 2009 compared with the previous year, and U.S. officials and analysts acknowledge that the new year is likely to prove even more lethal.
The year’s tally was 319, compared with 155 in 2008 SOURCE

Former Gitmo Detainees Who Returned to Terrorism
The Pentagon most recently released a report in May showing that one in seven former detainees either returned, or is suspected of returning, to terrorist activity. At least two of them have taken leading roles in Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, the group that has claimed responsibility for the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight on Christmas Day.

The Obama administration says it will proceed with caution in transferring any more detainees out of Guantanamo Bay but is determined to shutter the facility.

The following is a partial list, based on the information made public by the Pentagon, of former detainees thought to have returned to the battlefield. Confirmed Cases

Unemployment is at an all time high with many areas at 12% or higher. We still have troops in Iraq. No healthcare bill on Obama desk to be signed in 2008 thank goodness. Iran giving Obama the finger, yes that finger and Russia playing its own game, not the Obama game!

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 24% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18. Twenty-nine percent (29%) now say the country is heading in the right direction.

Are you better off today, do you feel safe under Obama’s so called leadership?

The best news I see here is 2010 election year with the Democrats and Obama falling on their face at every turn. The American voters will soon have their say!

This article hits a home run when it comes to what our government will not tell us!

Speaking publicly about the role of Iran in Afghanistan–which is substantial, and about which we have considerable information–seems to be taboo for our current leaders. Read More

Why haven’t we done something about Iran before now, why are we waiting until they get nukes to fire at our allies and even at The United States? It seem to me that the government is more interested in taking over our health care and selling cars instead of protecting our interest which is what the government should be doing. Cutting defense isn’t the way! Thanks to Michael Ledeen for a good article!
