Voter ID wins approval in SC, while members of the Legislative Black Caucus walk out

About 30 members of the Legislative Black Caucus and other House Democrats staged the walkout as debate moved into its fourth hour and it became clear the bill would pass.

After Democrats marched out of the House chamber, the bill which would require voters to present a valid S.C. driver’s license, passport, military ID or other photo ID approved by the state Department of Motor Vehicles at the polls passed 65 to 14.

Republicans said the bill is a safeguard against voter fraud. It is based on Indiana’s voter ID law, which was upheld last year by the U.S. Supreme Court. Read More

Why would members of black Caucus and other democrats not want this bill? Does anything come to mind? Maybe ACORN? Whole sports team members being wrote in as votes for Obama, Micky Mouse and many blacks voting more than once! In other words the bill helps keep this sort of thing from happening and they don’t like it. Georgia has a ID law and so does Indiana!

  1. Please provide one example of where Mickey Mouse voted. It doesn’t exist. It’s a myth.

Now, there have been examples where someone has submitted the name “Mickey Mouse” on a voter registration form. When ACORN (or anobody else) receives any voter registration form, it is obligated by law to turn the form in, whether or not ACORN suspects fraud. ACORN can (and does) report suspected fraud to the voter registration agency within the state, and Mickey Mouse is not allowed to vote. But, again, if you can prove differently, please do so.

    You can’t.

  2. Funny! Only when in fact Mickey Mouse and the sports team got caught on the list did Acorn confess up! Have to come up with something better than that larrys!
